The Scorpion Cup was held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield on Sunday 8th August. James Perry, a pupil of Morgan Llwyd School in Wrexham, won Gold with a solid performance. Sabir Miah went up a weight division for this competition and won Silver. We joined up with Lauren Main-Robson, our friend from the fighting fit Gym in Pontypool, South Wales. It was only the 2nd time Lauren had competed at a WTF competition and did very well to win Silver in the Juniors and Bronze in the Seniors.

We would like to welcome an overseas guest to our club. Víctor Miguel Lázaro Ezquerro is a 4th Dan from La Rioja in Spain. He is a member the "HWA-RANG KIM" club of Grand Master Kim who is an 8th Dan. Victor is working at the Glyndŵr University in Wrexham until the end of June and has already had a big impact on the classes at Wrexham and Saltney.

The Grading was held at the Morgan Llywd Sports Centre in Wrexham with students from Plas Madoc and Saltney attending the Grading for the first time.

The Grading Panel was headed by Master Peter Johnson, 6th Dan, who is the Vice Chairman of the UTA.
